DINE UNDER THE STARS AT DESARU COAST! | The 4 th installment of the Gourmet Series is set to deliver an inspired and unforgettable culinary experience on the beach. The Desaru Coast Gourmet Series is back with its fourth installment.

From 13 th – 14 th December, the exclusively curated dining series takes place at The Beach Bar, and Seasonal Tastes restaurant at the Westin Desaru Coast Resort. Themed ‘Seafood Under the Stars’, the event is set to transport patrons on a unique, resort-style gastronomical escapade like no other.

The 4 th installment will feature award-winning Venezuelan Celebrity Chef Tamara Rodriguez showcasing local Johor seafood, fresh produce, herbs, spices and flavours prepared with a South American twist. Diners will be welcomed under the stars of Desaru Coast’s night sky for pre-dinner drinks and canapes at The Beach Bar, and then indulge in an elevated dining experience at Seasonal Tastes restaurant, celebrating the amalgamation of local and Latin tastes and techniques.

As an integral part of the dinner, guests will enjoy wine pairing by the award-winning Woven Stone wines from Ohau, New Zealand, with expert commentary from internationally-accredited Malaysian Wine Sommelier Terrence Kong.

With the event opening set on the pristine beach of Desaru Coast with the spectacular view of South China Sea as its backdrop, the entire concept, menu and ambience of the 4 th Gourmet Series installment is inspired by Desaru Coast’s natural surroundings.

This exquisite dining experience kicks off with a pre-dinner cocktail and canapes followed by a 4 course dinner session that include flavourful fusion dishes such as barbecued seafood wrapped in banana leaves, Sarawak Adan rice in sepia ink with lobster in fosforera sauce and Job’s tears and duck in tamarind sauce with kerabu salad.

Visitors to Desaru Coast can experience this signature dining programme through 2 different packages; Dinner only package at RM295.00 nett per person or Stay & Dine package at Westin Desaru Coast Resort for two at RM1,388.00 nett.
