THE IMBRT INFORMATION CENTRE AT ANJUNG, MEDINI IS NOW OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | The Iskandar Malaysia Bus Rapid Transit (IMBRT) Information Centre at Lot R10A, Anjung in Medini is now open to the public as well as corporate organisations and institutions of higher learning.
Visiting hours are between 9.00am and 12.00pm, Sunday through Thursday, from now till 30 June 2021. The Information Centre will be closed for Aidilfitri from 12 to 17 May 2021, and during public holidays.
Entrance to the IMBRT Information Centre is free. However, a maximum of 20 people is allowed in the IMBRT Information Centre at any given time in adherence to the COVID-19 Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) by the Ministry of Health.
The centre features background information on the IMBRT project, including proposed routes and network, station scale model and design, information on bus suppliers participating in the pilot testing programme, as well as facts on BRT systems from around the world. The public can also share their feedback on the project at the Information Centre.
“The IMBRT Information Centre is designed for the public to learn more about the IMBRT service. Its wide network coverage offers Johoreans a valuable mobility option that opens up access to opportunities and brings families, friends, and communities closer together,” said Rudyanto Azhar, Head of IMBRT.
In addition, the public will be able to experience the green technology buses on the following dates:
30 April, 1 May, 2 May 2021 (Friday – Sunday)
7 May, 8 May, 9 May 2021 (Friday – Sunday)
There will be three (3) sessions per day:
9:00 am – 10:30 am
10:00 am – 11:30 am
11:00 am – 12:30 pm
Each session is limited to only 20 persons and children are welcome. Those interested need to visit the IMBRT Facebook page @IMBRTOfficial to register, using the link provided.
On 8 th April 2021, Iskandar Regional Development Authority (IRDA) launched a three-month Pilot Testing Programme for the IMBRT project to test the capabilities of electric and biodiesel buses as well as the use of green technology in line with the modernisation of the public transport system in Johor.
The launch was officiated by YAB Dato’ Hj Hasni bin Mohamad, Menteri Besar of Johor. The launch event created excitement and buzz from the people of Johor and even outside of the state. Streamed live via the IMBRT Facebook, the event has attracted more than 5.7k views to date.
